My glass is special-cared for.
My glass goes through a special process to become what it is that you see in the photos.
I break the bottles (I use mostly modern bottles/glass) and put them in a dry-run Hornady case vibrator for a full week. Then I tumble them in an MJR tumbler, also dry-run, for 3-4 days.  THEN I filter out the grit with a colander and set the glass out in the rain to get rid of the loose grit.
After some time in the outdoors, I'll clean off the rest of the grit with a rag and Murphy's Oil.
I use to use a water-grit mix for the tumbling, but the water rusted out the hardware on all the tumblers I used.  Anyway, I found that a dry-run seems to get as good a result as a wet-run.
This glass looks great while wet.  I recommend using it to make something that'll be getting wet often~maybe stepping stones, or a birdbath . . .  .
