Ida Bagus Putu Taman was one of the most talented artist in Bali according to Rudolf Bonnet
He played an important role as Chairman of the Pita Maha group 1936-1970
they would meet weekly and judge artists worth of the movement

Rudolf Bonnet, together with Walter Spies and good friend of Charlie Chaplin, Balinese royalty and a number of  great Balinese master artists and the prince of Ubud and founder of Ubud first international museum

Pita Maha (Great Spirit, Guiding inspiration)
in 1936 to select the artists whose works were found to be good enough to be sold in a number of galleries and to be included in exhibitions elsewhere in the Indies, The Netherlands and the United States. The Pita Maha disintegrated after Spies was expelled, having been convicted of indecent behavior. Bonnet also left and after that the war broke out

“ Old item sold as is, old patina and wear all consisted with authentic tribal art that has been used for ritual and ceremonies , these includes chips, erosion, cracks and tribal repairs. please note: relics of this age should have superficial imperfections, a sure sign that this relic was used and authentic, with the exception of imperial royal objects that were stored in china cabinets for years and never used, these imperfection do not detract but add character, one can only imagine all the families this relic has visited , like in the movie, "The Red Violin"”
